Yes my fellow spooktacular friends you read the title correctly. Billie Eilish is has been casted in Disney’s upcoming live-to-film concert experience of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Taking the role of our beloved rag-doll Sally! Personally I don’t know anything more perfect than a Billie Eilish and Tim Burton crossover…well other than a movie for both Halloween and Christmas of course! Let’s dive into all the spooktacular details!
The grammy award winning singer will perform “Sally’s Song” from the 1993 musical, with the film’s composer and original cast member Danny Elfman, set to reprise his role as Jack Skellington, aka The Pumpkin King. This special event which will take place at Los Angeles’ Banc Of California Stadium on October 29 and 31 will also host other spooktacular guests. Such as “Weird Al” Yankovic and Ken Page singing the roles of Lock and Oogie Boogie, respectively. The shows will contain a full orchestra led by acclaimed conductor John Mauceri. A live performance with a full orchestra paired with performances by the OG Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie on Halloween? So is it too late to move cross-country…asking for a friend.
The King of the Pumpkin Patch himself, Danny Elfman said “I’m absolutely thrilled to have Billie joining up with the nightmare crew…This will be a real treat (not a trick)!”. The October 29 show starts at 8 p.m. PDT, while the October 31 performance begins at 6:30 p.m. PDT. Tickets for the event are currently on sale via Ticketmaster. Seriously folks my inbox is always open. A live-action concert of The Nightmare Before Christmas is the perfect way to spend this spooky season because after all life’s no fun without a good scare! Will you guys be attending?
