The Riverdale season three finale cliffhanger left fans with a roller coaster of emotions, but why wasn’t Jughead isn’t that crazy last scene?
After months of waiting on the edge of our seats, with just a week away from the season 4 premiere, we can rest assured that Jughead, played by Cole Sprouse, wasn’t in that final scene because he was cold.
If you are new to the Riverdale fandom, then you should know the show is based off the Archie comics. The show follows the core four, Betty, Archie, Veronica, and Jughead in their town, Riverdale where everything isn’t as it seems. With constant mysteries surrounding murderers such as the Black Hood and recently, the Gargoyle King, and other jingle jangle going on, nothing ever stays quiet for long.

At San Diego Comic Con, during a Cast interview the core four, KJ Apa, Camilla Mendes, Lili Reinhart, and Cole Sprouse shared the truth behind that cliffhanger. According Apa in the original script all four of them were supposed to be around the fire throwing in their clothes. Then Sprouse didn’t want to do it because he was cold so that left
Archie(Apa), Betty (Reinhart), and Veronica (Mendes), in the scene and fans around the world went nuts when Betty threw Jugheads famous beanie into the fire. We all thought that was the end of Jughead, and now we just have to wait and see where the writers take the show next.
