Daniel Radcliffe is Open to Returning to Hogwarts? Always.

Still hoping for more Harry Potter movies? Always. In his latest interview, Daniel Radcliffe expressed his feelings on returning to the Wizarding World.

Adaptations Fandom Pop Culture TV & Movies

My fellow bookworms, muggles, and wizards, I come bearing good news, as well as bad news. The good news is our forever heartthrob Daniel Radcliffe is open to return to the magical halls of Hogwarts; however, before we celebrate with bottomless rounds of Butterbeer, the bad news is that Warner Bros. hasn’t approached the actor about any future Harry Potterprojects. I speak for every Potterhead when I say: it’s time to send Warner Bros.’ HR a long overdue messenger owl.

During a recent interview on SiriusXM, Radcliffe discussed the boy who lived. When asked about some comments he made on who he would want to play in a potential reboot of the Harry Potter franchise, his answer was either Sirius Black or Remus Lupin.

Radcliffe stated:

I think the question was a hypothetical of “Who else would you have liked to play in this series? But yeah, there’s always gonna be talk of some sort of [return]… I have never been contracted by anybody about any future Harry Potter films, so I don’t think it’s something that is coming. But, of course, now that I have said that, I have brought it upon myself now.

Let’s not channel our inner Moaning Myrtle…yet. The Wizarding World is pushing out content nonstop; the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise is due in theaters next summer, a super mysterious TV series is currently in development at HBO Max, one so mysterious that it still hasn’t been confirmed by WarnerMedia, and the Cursed Child stage show is returning this fall as a one-act performance instead of two. Whatever is in store for the Wizarding World, I solemnly swear that I’ll remain hopeful.
