“I’ve combined my love of storytelling and books with the release of Run, Rose, Run, a novel I’ve co-authored with @JP_Books!” read Parton’s announcement on Twitter. As someone who is passionate about literacy, this is a dream come true for Parton.
The novel will debut on March 7th of 2022, and it will be accompanied by an album based on its characters and the plot.
“She’s a star on the rise, singing about the hard life behind her,” detailed a post on Patterson’s website. “She’s also on the run. Find a future, lose a past. Nashville is where she’s come to claim her destiny. It’s also where the darkness she’s fled might find her. And destroy her.”
Patterson also described the book as “glittering with danger and desire — a story that only America’s #1 most beloved entertainer and its #1 bestselling author could have created.”
“I hope you enjoy the book and the songs as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together,” Parton tweeted to her fans on Twitter.
The novel will be published with Little, Brown Company. We can’t wait to hear more!
