James Cosmo’s character Lord Commander Jeor Mormont may not have been victorious against the white walkers – and, his own men – but his success in the art community is undeniable.
The Game of Thrones actor has been honored by Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family for his “services to drama,” receiving a Member of the Order of the British Empire title. The title recognizes the artistic accomplishments of civilians and when instituted by King George V in 1917.
