‘Game of Thrones’ Actor to Star in Dracula-Inspired Horror Film

Liam Cunningham (the Onion Knight Ser Davos in ‘Game of Thrones’) has recently been cast in an upcoming horror movie entitled ‘Last Voyage of the Demeter.’

Liam Cunningham, who played the Onion Knight Ser Davos in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has recently been cast in an upcoming horror movie entitled Last Voyage of the Demeter.




According to Syfy Wire, the film is based on a chapter from Bram Stoker’s classic horror novel Dracula. Zak Olkewicz’s script documents the voyage of the ship Demeter as it journeys from Carpathia to London. Onboard the Demeter is some suspicious cargo, which just so happens to be the infamous Count Dracula himself. Each night, the vampire terrorizes and eats the crew members until the Demeter arrives at its destination, Whitby Harbour.




The cast will go as follows, Cunningham is  Captain Eliot of the Demeter, Eliot’s first mate, Wojchek, will be played by David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad). Aisling Franciosi will play a stowaway named Anna, Jon Briones is Joseph, the ship’s cook. A crew member named Olgaren will be portrayed by Stefan Kapicic. Another crew member named Petrofsky will be played by Nikolai Nikolaeff. And Count Dracula will be played by Javier Botet (Slender Man. Corey Hawkins (In the Heights) will also star in the film.

Amblin Pictures attempted to make this film with a different set of actors and directors back in 2012. However, that version was never completed. André Øvredal (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) will direct.
