Evanna Lynch, known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series, has released the cover of her upcoming memoir, The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting: The Tragedy and the Glory of Growing Up, with Headline Books.
The memoir will cover Lynch’s life before and after her life-changing role in the blockbuster film franchise, alongside the truth behind her childhood eating disorder and her “anesthetizing pursuit of perfection.” She reveals her personal struggles during the transition from girlhood to womanhood both on and off-screen, while taking a step back to reflect on some of the decisions that led her to where she is today.
Since wrapping the Harry Potter films, the Irish actoress has participated in numerous television shows and films. Beginning in 2013, she performed in a couple of plays in various theaters throughout England. She has even done some voice work, like lending her voice to popular Nickelodeon productions. When she’s not in the spotlight, Lynch advocates for veganism and animal rights across the globe. She most recently appeared in headlines when she revealed that she was intimidated by her Harry Potter costars.
We are so excited to read a memoir by such an inspiring woman! Remember to pre-order your copy here, or you can find it in your local bookstore starting October 19 in the US or October 14 in the UK.
