If you are a 90’s baby I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, starring the one and only Melissa Joan Hart. Well. This lovable family show is getting something of a gritty reboot over at Netflix. Set in the same universe as Riverdale (both Sabrina and the Riverdale characters are based on the Archie comics), this reboot has taken a turn to the dark side and I’m pretty sure nobody minds.

I’m sure if you remember the little girl from Mad Men, but Kiernan Shipka is playing the lead and we know she’s going to do a fabulous job! The show is described as a dark coming-of-age story; a combination of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist. Dark forces threaten to destroy the population so being a hybrid Witch-Human leaves her no choice but to protect her family and the human race! I’m getting some Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes only… creepier.

The chilling teaser trailer is SPOOKY! We got a Goat Man! Other creepy teen witches and a dark forest! Which only means there isn’t any bippity boppity boo going on here! According to the Hollywood Reporter the series has already been picked up for 2 seasons, 10 episodes for each season! I’m happy about it and by the looks of the trailer, I’m already bewitched!
