Today, the third Sunday of September marks National Women’s Friendship Day. If you don’t know what it is, you’re in the right place. It’s the day that reminds women of the importance of female friendships for our emotional and physical well-being.
In every stage of our lives, we will encounter females that will empower, teach, and support us. So how do you celebrate these amazing gems? Here are three things you can do:
1. Spend time with them! Go out to lunch with them. Get a coffee, boba, or a drink. Spend time doing something they like with them. There are so many activities you can do, like hiking, painting, gardening, and more!
2. Be there for them! People go through stuff all the time. You might not know about everything, but make sure they know they can come to you at any moment because you support them. Sometimes, receiving a random text telling you that you are loved and that they support you is the only thing to push you to continue forward, so remember to remind others as well.
3. Stay in touch. Life gets in the way, we all know that. But even though you don’t speak often that doesn’t mean that you’re not still friends. Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while and remind them how much you care about them and that you’re still there for them.
So today, celebrate your girl-friends because they’re worth it!
