As of now, there are no specific details about the plot or characters for I Kissed Shara Wheeler. The only bit of information about the novel comes from the Barnes & Noble website: “From the bestselling author of Red, White & Royal Blue and One Last Stop comes another fresh and funny romance about first love and finding yourself, complete with a lively and loveable cast of characters.”
McQuiston grabbed the attention of readers everywhere with her debut novel Red, White & Royal Blue back in 2019. This new adult romance novel is an enemies-to-lovers story about Alex (the son of the President of the United States) and Henry (Prince of Wales). While they initially seem to hate one another, they soon begin a secret and scandalous romance that could have drastic effects on the United States government, British monarchy, the boys’ families, and their public perceptions if they get caught. (Spoiler alert: they do).
McQuiston’s second new adult romance novel One Last Stop was released this past June. This story follows twenty-three-year-old August, who’s living in New York with three other roommates. One day, she meets an attractive stranger on the subway named Jane. August and Jane quickly develop feelings for each other, but there is one issue: Jane has been stuck on that subway since the 1970s, frozen in time. She can’t leave and remembers next-to-nothing about her life. The novel details August and Jane’s growing feelings for each other, August’s efforts to help Jane remember her life and who she is, and August’s determination to help get Jane “unstuck” from the subway.
