Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor’s next major role is officially confirmed! This time, she’ll lend her talents on- and off-screen. According to Deadline, Dynevor will both executive produce and star in the upcoming adaptation of Exciting Times with Amazon Studios.
The “contemporary romance with a twist” show is based on Naoise Dolan’s novel of the same name. Black Bear Pictures optioned the rights to the book before it hit shelves in June 2020, writes Deadline. Dolan will co-write the series with Cooper Raiff, who is also tapped to serve as director.
Exciting Times features Ava, an Irish woman who tutors rich English children abroad. She soon finds herself intertwined in a love triangle with a lawyer named Edith and Julian, a banker. Dynevor is rumored to play Ava.
The executive producers for Exciting Times include Dynevor, Dolan, and Raiff as well as Teddy Schwarzman, Ben Stillman, and Michael Heimler from Black Bear Pictures. Clementine Quittner and Sleena Wilson will co-produce.
Deadline adds that Dynevor will reprise the role of Daphne Bridgerton for Bridgerton season two. She will also star in the “female-driven thriller” I Heart Murder.
