Earlier today, Penguin Random House announced that Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will be releasing a memoir in Fall 2022. According to Harper’s Bazaar, the official press release states the memoir will be a “definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape [Prince Harry].” Penguin Random House will publish the memoir, whose official title is not yet available. Proceeds from the memoir’s sales will be donated to charity.
About the memoir. Prince Harry stated, “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.” Prince Harry also added that since he has “literally” and “figuratively” donned many different hats over the years, his wish is “that in telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.” The memoir will cover significant events and moments from Prince Harry’s life including his service in the military, his experiences in “the public eye,” and life as a husband and father.

Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a raw, revealing interview about their experiences living as members of the Royal Family. During the interview, the couple admitted which circumstances and events eventually led to their decision to step down from their royal duties and their “senior roles.”
Markus Dohle, CEO of Penguin Random House, stated, “All of us at Penguin Random House are thrilled to publish Prince Harry’s literary memoir and have him join the world-renowned leaders, icons, and change-makers we have been privileged to publish over the years.” Prince Harry also described his memoir as “accurate” and “wholly truthful” and admitted he feels “deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far.”
