Ransom Riggs’ is famous for penning Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and its sequels Library of Souls
, Hollow City
and Map of Days, among several other works. The Miss Peregrine series was inspired by Riggs’ own collection of photographs of people he has never met, which is itself a peculiar and fascinating hobby. His book Talking Pictures: Images and Messages Rescued from the Past
shows some of the best, following on from a video Riggs made in all the way back in 2011, the year his first book was published.
Described by John Green as ‘one of the greatest YouTube videos of all time,’ Ransom Riggs’ video compilation of some of the strangest and loveliest photographs in his collection is definitely worth the watch. Check it out below!
