Secret Invasion is just one of the many Marvel projects releasing in 2022. The Disney+ series is centered around Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who must combat shape-shifting creatures called Skrulls that have been “infiltrating Earth for years” according to Marvel’s official website and Disney+.
As originally mentioned by ComicBook, Samuel L. Jackson recently shared a few photos to his Instagram account that hint at his return to playing Nick Fury. One photo features Fury’s iconic facial hairpieces. In the second and third photos, Jackson shows off a t-shirt with an artistic drawing of Fury holding Captain Marvel’s signal beeper. This alludes to the post-credit scene at the end of Avengers: Infinity War when the symbol of the Kree’s military appears on the beeper’s screen. You can see the original post below.
Secret Invasion is reportedly starting to film this month (August 2021). Hopefully, pretty soon we’ll start to see more of the talented cast as their characters. Joining Jackson and Mendelsohn are Emilia Clarke, Olivia Coleman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Christopher McDonald, and Killian Scott. None of the other actors’ roles are disclosed as of now.
