Timothée Chalamet: A Man Written By A Woman

Timothée Chalamet is a phenomenal actor, and on his birthday, we celebrate why we all love him so much!

Adaptations Pop Culture TV & Movies

There is a new surge in Hollywood of actors who are described as “men who are written by women.” They are charming, sweet, not afraid to explore fashion, and overwhelmingly talented. While the list runs long with names like Tom Hiddleston, Dylan O’Brien, Andrew Garfield, and Chris Evans, the one actor whose name tops this list is Timothée Chalamet. As he turns 26, it is only right to see everything this young actor has given us.

Throughout 2021, Chalamet has not disappointed. He may not be as active on social media as fans would like him to be, he is very consistent in giving stellar content. Dune, The French Dispatch, and Don’t Look Up are three of his movies that were released this year. Along with that, he was also announced to play Willy Wonka and reprise his role as Paul in the second part of Dune. Apart from movies, Chalamet also made hoodies with Haider Ackermann to show support to children and women in Afghanistan. Everyone loves a social advocate who is mightily talented.

During press conferences for all his movies, Timothée showed that he is not just an actor. His artistry involves having fun with fashion. Having been named the most Stylish Man of the Year in 2019, he has made sure to stay on the list all the years. Be it the press conference for Little Women back in 2019 or cruising through Film Festivals for Dune in 2021, he has been on top of the news for his jaw-dropping fashion throughout.

His specialty seems to be bringing to life men from famous books. Laurie in Little Women by Louisa May Alcott was perfect. Laurie in Little Women by Greta Gerwig was something more. He managed to make the readers and viewers fall in love with his relationships with Jo and Amy. That was something I didn’t think was possible, but that is what Chalamet does. Along with giving us a charming Laurie, Timothée has also brought to life Elio Perlman from Aciman’s Call Me by Your Name, Paul Atreides from Herbert’s Dune, and will be Willy Wonka from a spinoff of Dahl’s Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

Having mastered great adaptations, Chalamet also has to his credit roles like Kyle (Lady Bird), Yule (Don’t Look Up), and Zeffirelli (The French Dispatch). All the movies that he has worked on are masterpieces and that is something for a 26-year-old. He was the youngest in over 80 years to be nominated for Best Male Actor at the Academy Awards.

While promoting Lady Bird and Little Women, he was accompanied by Saoirse Ronan, the youngest ever to be nominated for Best Female Actor at the Oscars. He would bow down to her whenever she would come near and would also mention multiple times how honored he was to be standing beside her and call her a friend.

Recently, during Dune press, a video of him greeting the women of Dune by kissing their hands and bowing to them went viral. The bar set for men is grossly low most of the time, but the respect Timothée shows to women is heartwarming. This is the reason why many love him.

So far, none of his films have a 2022 release date, so we all wait for 2023. Happy Birthday, Lil Timmy Tim.
