The Harry Potter franchise is still ongoing, even though the movies have ended. The Cursed Child was the most current news on Harry Potter as the 2016 Broadway Play devised by J.K. Rowling and Jack Thorne.
November 16th marks the twentieth anniversary of the first installment of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001). Director Chris Columbus created the first two installments of the Harry Potter franchise (Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets) and produced Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004).
With the twentieth anniversary coming soon did this cause Chris Columbus to want to create The Cursed Child movie?

Columbus has done a recent interview with Variety, which consisted of many questions reminiscing his past work on the first two Harry Potter films. Other questions included working with the cast, and pitching his idea to J.K. Rowling.

The Cursed Child is another opportunity for the Harry Potter franchise to continue. As a Harry Potter fan, I can honestly say, that there is more to be explored in the world of Harry Potter.
The Fantastic Beasts films directed by David Yates kickstarted a new insight into the Wizarding World. This prequel trilogy is being eaten up by fans everywhere.
The Cursed Child would bring us back to Harry’s story and fill in some questions that many fans have been wanting to know since Harry’s final goodbye from Hogwarts.
