Noah Baumbach, director of Marriage Story, is set to adapt Don DeLillo’s acclaimed 1985 novel White Noise. Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver, who have previously collaborated with Baumbach on Frances Ha and The Meyerowitz Stories, are set to star in the adaptation.
Recent events surrounding the 2020 election and US politics have caused many to remember and reference George Orwell’s novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four for its stark similarities to today’s political climate. Now, the somewhat prophetic, dystopian novel is set for TV after former ABC chief Paul Lee’s independent studio Wiip optioned the rights to Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan’s stage show of the same name.

The TV adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s YA fantasy novels, Shadow and Bone, is set to hit Netflix in April 2021. The first teaser trailer, released today, revealed Morozova’s stag, an ancient and magical creature that roams the wilds of Ravaka. The Netflix adaptation will not only follow the events of the first three Grishaverse books, but will also include new stories for characters in the spinoff duology, Six of Crows.
On December 10, 1907, Rudyard Kipling was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, making him the first English-author to receive this award. He was also the youngest recipient to receive the award, to date, at forty-one years old.
