Talking about Mexican culture, the first book that comes to mind is Pedro Párama and rightfully so. The novel has dark undertones of the human mind while talking about the protagonist Juan Rulfo who visits his deceased mother in Comala. Throughout the story, you will feel a storm of emotions while also being enticed by the setting.
