With ties to Ancient Greece, the Olympics have become a time honored tradition where every few years top athletes from all over the world come together to represent their country and compete in a variety of events. After having been postponed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is finally time for the athletes to gather in Tokyo and impress us all with their seemingly superhuman abilities. So, in honor of the opening ceremonies of the 2021 Olympic Games, let’s take a look at 5 fictional characters who would be sure to win all the medals.

Archery: Katniss Everdeen

As the Mockingjay and the co-victor of the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen would have no problem adding Olympic Gold Medalist to her resume. Her prowess with a bow and arrow allowed her to feed her family after her father died and even scored her the highest mark out of all the other tributes while training for the Games. She may take a second to warm up to the equipment, but after that nothing can stop her from dominating the competition.

Swimming: percy Jackson

I mean was there even another choice besides the son of the Sea God? I think not. He has the power to propel himself through water and can even create oxygen bubbles so he wouldn’t have to waste time by coming up for air while racing.

Weightlifting: supergirl

Along with super hearing, heat vision, and super speed, the Girl of Steel also has super strength. In the CW series, Supergirl managed to carry a crashed space station and throw it out of Earth’s gravity so the Olympic Games should be a piece of cake for her.

gymnastics: Jace herondale

As a result of Valentine’s experimentation, Jace has extra angel blood in his system which gives him even more enhanced abilities than typical Shadowhunters. In City of Ashes, Jace displayed his (I don’t know a technical term for it so I’m just going to say) mad jumping skills when trying to escape a cage. Given a running start combined with a bouncy floor, Jace would be able to defy gravity like Simone Biles does on a regular basis.

Track: The Flash

Now, The Flash might have a little bit of an unfair advantage given his meta-human abilities, but I wouldn’t be shocked to find out that other Olympians also have special powers.
