In honor of the 100th anniversary of James Joyce’s A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Barry and Sam McGovern put together a literary map of the main character’s journey. The new adaptation of Stephen King’s It has finally announced the new Pennywise. Actor, Bill Skarsgård, from Anna Karenina and the Divergent Series’ Allegiant, will attempt to fill the red rubbery shoes of the legendary Tim Curry. This is a risky role for Skarsgård because of how loved and hated Tim Curry was as the evil clown. One of the biggest gripes people have with movie/TV adaptations is when things don’t line up. That is exactly what is happening with the Starz adaptation of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Apparently a new character named “Vulcan” has been introduced into the show. The character carries a message about guns and how dangerous they are to society.
