Hachette Controversy Update

You may recall our article from last week on the controversy over Hachette’s choice to publish a memoir from accused sexual abuser Woody Allen. As of our last article, protests were merely hypothetical, but the book community did take a stand, and Hachette employees in New York and Boston even walked out in protest, according to the BBC. Look at his face. Really an underappreciated meme, even by me.   Curses Can Be Flirting Image via …

The Best Totally Canon Harry Potter Tweets

Book Culture

No hate, but you have to admit it’s a good meme. I literally don’t even know what’s real and what’s not. It’s a Greek tragedy playing out on twitter, and honestly one of the reasons I only include the books and a Very Potter Musical as like, actual canon.   With… Other Brooms? Image via Cheezburger Wow, Rowling. Won’t even commit to making the broomstick ACTUALLY bi. Admittedly this one is not one of those I get confused about, but I did that on purpose, because I didn’t want to have to google if anything was real or fake. Doing …
