British Prime Minister Theresa May recently revealed in an interview that she’s a huge Harry Potter fan. Speaking with students at Nishkam Primary School in Birmingham, the conversation turned to the Potter books and she said, “I’ve read them all. In the same vein as The Sound of Music Live and Grease Live, ABC is entering the live musical game. It was recently announced that ABC will host a live-action musical based on Disney’s 1989 animated The Little Mermaid! via GIPHY According to The A.V. Club, The musical will “intertwine” the 1989 animated film “with show stopping live musical performances via cutting-edge technology.” The two-hour event, called The Wonderful World of Disney: The Little Mermaid Live will debut Tuesday, Oct. 3rd.
