According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Poehler has landed the rights to the highly sought after The Great Believers. The best-selling novel by Rebecca Makkai will be adapted into a television series by Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions company. The Great Believers follows Yale and Fiona, two people struggling with the AIDS epidemic in mid-1980s Chicago and 2015 Paris. Yale loses his friends to the virus one by one just as his life and career begin to flourish.
