The Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales: Their dark, twisted, sometimes bloody and always entertaining. In our article ‘Empowering Retellings of Classic Disney Princesses’, we compared and contrasted Disney’s versions of the Grimm tales that influenced the adaptations. What we found was, despite the creepy plots that don’t always end on a happy note, the Brothers Grimm stories are more interesting, the lessons more… realistic.
