A Word Invented by ‘The Simpsons’ Added to US Dictionary 22 Years Later

‘Embiggen,’ a word which debuted on an episode of cartoon The Simpsons in 1996, has been officially added to the US Dictionary. Isn’t that nice.    In a sweep of 850 new words, Merriam-Webster has announced that ’embiggen’ has been added to the dictionary.
