Why did you start your Bookstagram:
I started Bookstagram completely by accident. I had another Instagram account and I decided to take a picture of a book that I was reading and a few people liked the picture. This is how I found out about Bookstagram and it just evolved from there.
Where are you from:
I’m from South Wales in the UK.
What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world:
I love creating cozy content and trying to tell stories with my pictures. I hope my Instagram content inspires people to read more and write more and do more of what they love.

Fun Fact about you:
I love to run and I’m hoping to be able to run a 10k by the end of the year.
Favorite Bookstagrammers:
This is a really hard one as there are so many people I love.
Funniest stories and best GIFS: @barr_bookworms
Best Captions: @arrowmindedstories
Aesthetics I love: @maevaeatsbooks, @thekindredstardust, @bits_faerietales, @findherreading
The loveliest people: @mummyisreading, @heyhelene, @sophiesbookstagram, @linathebookaddict
Favorite Books and Authors:
Classics wise my favorites are Jane Austen and Thomas Hardy: I love everything about Jane Austen and I love Far from the Madding Crowd and Tess of the D’urbervilles. Fantasy authors my favorites are Cassandra Clare and Sarah J Maas. The Infernal Devices is one of only two books that has ever made me cry. Recent favorites are The Grace Year and From Blood and Ash. The Falconer Series is also one of my favorite fantasy series because of its Scottish setting in Edinburgh and the faerie pools of Skye.

Fictional Crush:
Here goes there’s a list: Will Herondale, Jamie Fraser, Rhysand, Jace Herondale, and Hawke.
TBR List:
Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, Dark Shores, Serpent and Dove, Fable, Call it what you want, The Priory of the Orange Tree, These Violent Delights, We are the ants.
What’s Your Special Approach to Content:
I try to think about how my pictures make people feel. I also like to tell a story with my pictures and my favorite ones lately have been peaking through the door at my Instagram set up. I love using old antique things too as I think that these things tell a story on their own.

Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:
Anything cozy and autumnal with lots of white and minimal color. I always use a white background and take my photos at the front of my house where the light is best. If I change rooms for any reason the pictures don’t blend well with my aesthetic as the light is wrong.
How often do you post:
Every day
What does your Bookstagram mean to you:
For me, it’s a creative outlet and something that I love to do. I’ve always wanted to be a writer so my blog is very important to me also. Bookstagram is my heart and soul and everything that I love.

Favorite Bookstore:
Waterstones
Who would you have supply you with a lifetime of books:
Sarah J Maas
Author to take a selfie with:
Sarah J Maas

Favorite book cover:
Fable by Adrienne Young.
Book you have claimed to have read that you didn’t:
Sense and Sensibility; I’ve watched the film so many times I just couldn’t go and then read the book but I definitely know every word of the film.

When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer:
I still don’t feel like I’ve made it at all. I always strive to do better and create better content. I think if you are a perfectionist you will never feel like you’ve made it because there’s always another level and another goal.
Favorite fandoms:
Shadowhunters, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Crescent City
Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:
My advice is to post consistently and always create quality content. I have been posting every day for over a year and I haven’t missed one day. My photos and content take a lot of time and effort so you need to be prepared to put the work in. I have a section only blog (alwaysandforeverlyndsay.com) called ‘The Bookstagram Course’ which has lots of useful articles on all things bookstagram and finding your aesthetic.
Additional bookishness: There is lots more additional Bookish content and Bookstagrammer help on my blog –
