Why did you start your Bookstagram:
I started in August 2016. I was very active in book blogging community back then and found out my fav book bloggers (Cait @paperfury, Emily @emilyjmead and Kelly @divabooknerd) were hosting Bookstagram challenge #AusYAChallenge so I thought “Why not?” and decided to join. I fell in love instantly with bookstagram : the kindness that I received , lots of beautiful book pics to look at and being able to peek at someone else’s collection. It is really fun!

Where are you from:
Depok, Indonesia.
What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?
Happiness and kindness. Talking about books and seeing beautiful book pics on instagram made me happy. I hope I can make someone else happy or brighten their day after seeing my feed.
Fun Fact about you?
I often read preview chapters on google books or amazon before deciding whether to buy a book or not. If I did not like preview chapters, I often did not buy the book but sometimes the hype wins or the synopsis/cover is really intriguing , so I still buy the book.
My caption and my pics often don’t match. I took bookstagram photos once a month and took photos in bulks, so I usually have stock photos for a month but did not plan the caption so the caption often did match the pics.

What’s Your Special Approach to Content?
I do not know, I feel like there is nothing special about my approach. For caption, I try being kind by saying hi and Assalamualaikum (peace be with you) then tell my current read/review and also wishing my followers to have a great day. For feed, I try to mix book stack and flatlay set up so it did not look boring
Aesthetic / Instagram page theme?
Pretty in Pink or Cozy Pink.

What does your Bookstagram mean to you?
Stress reliever and also place for me to express my love of books and my creativity. I love art and creativity but I didn’t feel very creative myself and bookstagram made me think otherwise. I thought creativity is talent that someone born with it but I learned tips and tricks about bookstagram and tried to apply it along the way and now I feel I can be creative too.

There are many but I always love the illustration one like Spin the Dawn and Poppy War Indonesia Edition.
Book you have claimed to have read that you didn’t?
I did not do that but sometimes I post books in my pics that I have not reads but it has pretty cover and it made people assume I have read it
When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?
I always feel I made it as a bookstagrammer since the beginning when I started. I define a bookstagrammer as a person who posts book pics on instagram Haha.
But a milestone that I did not think I would achieve when I started is reaching 5k followers. I remembered thinking it is very far from me, so I was really surprised when I reached it. Like wow there are 5k people who love my content.

Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers?
Start with something you have and be patient about your growth. Be Kind to everyone and don’t shy to leave comment on other people post. You can do whatever you want with your feed and Enjoy it!

I am currently addicted to Korean manhwa/webtoon. The illustration is really beautiful, most the heroine are smart or strong and the plot is refreshing.
