Originally sold as a memoir, A Million Little Pieces was questioned for its accuracy from the moment it was released. A few years later, it was discovered that the author, James Frey, had manipulated several events and even lied about others. After this, the book was later re-classified as a semi-fictional novel.
Despite all the controversy surrounding the book, a film adaptation was still ordered. Now, a new trailer has been released.
Like the book, the movie follows James, a drug-addict who is forced to go to rehab after learning that he will die if he starts using drugs again. What ensues is his process of getting clean with the help of some eccentric characters.

The movie stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as James, along with Billy Bob Thorton, Giovanni Ribisi, Jennifer Lewis and Charlie Hunnam. The film will be released in the U.K. and Ireland on August 30th. A U.S. release date has yet to be announced.
