Emma Watson isn’t just a bookworm in the movies. After the success of previous book-hiding missions in London, Watson is back at it again, hiding copies of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale around her birth city of Paris.

The Handmaid’s Tale, published in 1985, is attracting much attention of late due to the successful Elisabeth Moss-starring adaptation currently streaming on Hulu. Considerately, Watson hid copies of the book in both English and French.

The grim story of a near-future America where religious extremism is the norm and women have no rights, The Handmaid’s Tale is a natural choice for Watson, an outspoken feminist and advocate for women’s rights. The Beauty and the Beast star also selected the book as the monthly read for her online book club, Our Shared Shelf.
