Adler’s novel focuses on married couple Oliver and Barbara Rose. They seem like any other happily-married couple until Barbara wants to divorce Oliver. The two humorously try to kick the other out of their house. Weapons used are such things a household items, as Barbara and Oliver fight for ownership of the house. Love and hate are very much the themes that drive these two characters into a war of their own.
