The Prime Time Emmy Awards are this Sunday, but the Television Academy held another ceremony celebrating the work behind the scenes. The Creative Arts Emmys, held over the weekend, celebrated technical achievements of prime time shows. And the biggest show of the last decade nabbed the most prizes.
Game of Thrones, based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire, walked away with 10 Creative Arts Emmys, the most of any program during the ceremony. The controversial final season was awarded for achievements in stunt coordination, visual effects, sound editing, sound mixing, picture editing, score, make-up, costumes and casting.

The final season of the epic fantasy series garnered a negative reaction from critics and fans due to its writing and directing, but that didn’t stop the series from grabbing the most Emmy nominations of any show this year. This Sunday, the series is up for Best Drama, as well as awards for writing and directing, and several actors are up for awards as well.
