The novel The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson is going to be adapted by the A24 and Apple studios. The lead role has been landed by newcomer Grace Kaufman, who has previously done some TV work appearing on Man With a Plan and The Last Ship.

The Sky Is Everywhere follows Lennie (to be played by Kaufman), who, after her sister’s Bailey sudden death finds herself torn between Toby, Bailey’s quiet and seductive boyfriend who shares her grief, and Joe, the new boy in town who is larger-than-life and a musical genius.
The script for the movie is being written by Jandy Nelson, and attached to direct is Josephine Decker who previously directed Madeline Madeline and Shirley.
