As you should already know, Hank Green, brother of author John Green, has written his first book which is scheduled to be published September 25 of this year. We now have the pleasure of getting our first look at the cover, which Green revealed in a video on the vlogbrothers YouTube channel at the end of last week!
In the video, he describes the title’s font as feeling very “adventure” and “comic” while the background is “a little bit mysterious, a little bit creepy,” which he says is exactly what he wanted. He also describes the color choice as being over the top but says that it will make a lot of sense once we meet the book’s main character.
According to the New York Times, the book follows April May, an art student in New York City who becomes famous after a video she takes of herself in front of a giant robot sculpture in Midtown Manhattan goes viral. As similar sculptures begin popping up around the world, she finds herself at the center of a mystery and is forced to deal with internet fame and all the pressure that it brings.
We still have a while until the book’s release, but in the meantime, check out the cover below!
