After experiencing the shocking and painful ending to Avengers: Infinity War, I don’t think there’s anyone who’s feeling so good.
With the stakes so high against characters we grew to love, some that had just been introduced mind you, everyone was on edge. Guessing games were played and theories debated on which few would get Thanos snapped. No one expected that the series would go all Game of Thrones on us and crush all our hopes to dust.
I remember watching Infinity Wars myself, the crowd cheering on their favorite characters, the laughter, the excitement, and then the credits rolled. Absolute silence, save for one sound, a crying child.
Who would have ever thought that a series owned by Disney, and typically marketed toward little kids, would make any child cry?!
For the sake of the children who haven’t already experienced Infinity Wars, night show host, Jimmy Kimmel, and Avengers cast members attempt to undo the trauma of witnessing intergalactic genocide with a PG adapted picture book.
The book was read Monday night by cast members Mark Ruffalo (Buce Banner/The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Chris Evans (Captain America).
While I commend their attempt at making a child-friendly picture book, the visuals of seeing all my favorite characters turned to dust in any format still stings pretty badly.
