The dark prince of industrial metal has announced he will be acting in the upcoming mini-series based on Stephen King’s post-apocalyptic novel The Stand.

Marilyn Manson will be been busy on tour this summer, but not busy enough to neglecr his acting career. While interviewing with music and culture magazine Revolver, he not only discussed the “Twins Of Evil” tour, but also revealed his part in the adapted mini-series.
[Country rocker Shooter Jennings] and I also did a cover of “The End” by the Doors, for a new miniseries of The Stand by Stephen King, which I’m also going to be acting in. I think that sort of kick-started our process for the album, and started us exploring different things.

Marilyn Manson has had roles in a number of television series such as Eastbound & Down, Once Upon A Time, and more recently Sons Of Anarchy. Manson has also done a great deal of work on the soundtracks for television as well as films – e.g., Luther, Preacher, The Matrix, and John Wick. For The Stand, it looks as though Manson will be combining his acting with helping to make the soundtrack.
