Last month, it seemed that comic books were taking a hit due to COVID-19. And while that statement is still true, comic powerhouses DC and Marvel are trying to turn things around.
DC has already released and shipped out new books, having started releasing work on April 28th,and they plan to continue releasing new comics every week. Just yesterday (May 5th), DC released a new cycle of comic books. The ComicList, a website geared towards keeping track of forthcoming comic releases, has the lists for the first three rounds of publication.
At the moment, Marvel Entertainment hasn’t released any new comics. The company plans to start shipping new titles by the end of May. Their release schedule starts on May 27th and is set to continue until July 8th. Every other week, starting on the 27th, a handful of new titles will be released and shipped to comic shops. The schedule for the exact titles being released can be found on Marvel’s Release Calendar.
