Now, a famous author has been given her sentence.

Author and CEO Jane Buckingham was sentenced yesterday in Boston federal court after pleading guilty to a single count of fraud and conspiracy for paying $50,000 to cheat on her son’s college exam by having someone take it for him. Buckingham will serve three weeks in federal prison after pleading guilty.

Buckingham is the CEO of Trendera, a marketing firm that specializes in trend forecasting and generational research.
