‘Pet This F****** Puppy,’ I Dare You

It’s been a long day at the office. Again. You’re on the train, so stressed you feel like crying. You don’t know how you made it through another day of work.  Don’t you wish you could find something that would make you laugh or feel better when you get home?  Something that takes inspiration from one thing and turns it into something funny for another thing.  You’re in luck, because I’ve got just the thing for you.   image via amazon   Robb Pearlman has just published a new book that takes design cues from children’s book, but a word …

Just For Fun

It’s been a long day at the office. Again. You’re on the train, so stressed you feel like crying. You don’t know how you made it through another day of work.  Don’t you wish you could find something that would make you laugh or feel better when you get home?  Something that takes inspiration from one thing and turns it into something funny for another thing.  You’re in luck, because I’ve got just the thing for you.

Robb Pearlman has just published a new book that takes design cues from children’s book, but a word in the title clearly marks it out for adults.  Pet This F****** Puppy: A Touch-and-Feel Book for the Stressed-Out Adults, published on February 25, has six touch-and-feel elements that offer different tactile, visual, or smelly ways for adults to calm down.

The book has bright, colorful illustrations by Jason Kayser of puppies, blankets, sunsets, and more, complimented with a different texture or visual element that is designed to take the reader’s mind off of the things distracting them. It seems there’s a meditative focus being promoted in this book.  You can’t enjoy the puppy unless you focus on the image and the texture.  You can’t be at the beach unless you can “smell” the sea air.  Focus.

The book is guaranteed to calm down its working-and-stressed adult readers.  If you’re someone who would be interested in a book that lets you touch, see, and smell it to calm down, then do check out the link above.
