Pottermore recently revamped its site, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! We came across this gem of an infographic that explores different wand usage throughout the book series (not including the films.) Some key takeaways:
- Uncle Vernon was the first person to mention a wand in the series
- Overall wand use amounted to 763 instances, with wand use being successful 4 out of 5 times–which is a pretty impressive success rate!
- 39% of the time, wands are used for dueling with another wizard, with the second most popular use being transfiguration (22.5%)
- Stupefy is the most used incantation throughout the series
