Julie Andrews has stolen our hearts as more than one beloved character: Mary Poppins, Maria, the Queen of Genovia, to name, just a few. She’s captivated us in each of her on-screen performances, and in April 2008 she did it again in her memoir Home: A Memoir of My Early Years. Lucky for us, she will get yet another chance to wow us when the sequel releases on October 15th.

The upcoming Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years will be published with Hachette books and will be co-written by Andrews’ daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton. Home, which chronicled Andrews’ childhood, became an instant best seller, and we expect nothing less from this next book, which is set to explore the obstacles she faced as a rising star dealing with divorce and raising her children. Hachette also states the book will explore Andrews’ work filming Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music.

Of course, her memoirs are not the first time Andrews has dabbled in writing. In addition to taking the world by storm as everyone’s favorite nanny, she has also written children’s books, including Mandy and The Great American Mousical.
