Sir Patrick Stewart––best known as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” ––is coming upon 80 years old this month.  Amidst the boredom of quarantine, a new office chair, and “beautiful Los Angeles study,” Stewart is ready to tackle what he once feared and thought never possible: his memoir.

“The idea of writing a memoir based on my life and career has been in my mind for several years, but always the demands of work have pushed it in the background,” AP News quoted Stewart yesterday.

“Revealing and heartwarming,” Stewart says his memoir will touch on everything from “Star Trek” to his award-winning stage performances, from his voice work on “American Dad” to discussions about his childhood and abusive father.
