“There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravery involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater. But sometimes it doesn’t.” – Veronica Roth, Allegiant

The last of the Divergent Trilogy, Allegiant, celebrates its fourth year as a movie adaptation. Known for its gratifying books, the Divergent series was one that every young child looked forward to. From being confined in a faction-based society to overthrowing the government, Tris has learned to become something bigger than herself in order to save human nature.
Long ago, back in Divergent days, Tris believed in the society that she lived in, but once she had she choose her new faction separate from her family, things became a lot trickier. Offered a chance to explore the world beyond the wall, Tris and Tobias are ready to start a simple new life together, free from the terrors of the past. What they weren’t prepared for, was the new reality being worse than the one they left behind. Given new truths that change the hearts of those around her, Tris must face this new world by making “impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.”

Once Allegiant was published in 2013, bookstores were able to sell “455,000 copies on its first day.” Can you imagine how many books have been sold since then? With these sales, it is no surprise that the box offices made $179.2 million on that movie alone.
Having read all three books and have seen all their adaptations, I am not surprised about how well it has done. It still comes on the movie channels occasionally, to grant us with its glory. I say keep it coming, because I’m not complaining!
