If you want to know the latest and craziest Harry Potter news, it’s best that you take a seat and get comfortable. And by seat, I mean one of those red velvet armchairs that were in the Gryffindor common room, because yes, you can own one now.

The two finely aged chairs featured in the Philosopher’s Stone (2001) are going up for auction, but (the catch) you’ll need an upwards of £2,000. Sitting pretty doesn’t come free and these chairs are quite magical.
There is an aerial scene in the room where we can clearly see the armchairs and sofa placed about the room for students to lounge in. “Once you know what you are looking for you can easily distinguish them when you are watching the film,” the vendor explained.
According to The Sentinel and the sources that have seen the seats, they’re comfy as hell. Although by now they’re a tad worn, many would still pay the full amount or more.”I would love to see the chairs go to a huge Harry Potter fan, perhaps to someone in Japan where the films and books are particularly huge.”
They’ll be up for sale at Hansons Auctioneers London in Etwall, Saturday March 24th. Hansons London associate director is excited to see who gets the final bid:
