Bestselling author duo Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff will release the finale to their trilogy series on March 13th, 2018. Titled “Obsidian,” this will be the third and final book of the “Illuminae Files” trilogy. Remarkably unique due to its unusual storytelling technique, the “Illuminae Files” is written through a neat compilation emails, medical reports, interviews, and various other documents.
Set in the year of 2575, this Sci-Fi thriller shows the consequences of rivalry between two giant corporations at war. Kady and Ezra, the main characters of the novel, are forced to embrace their fears and fight their way for survival. Before they can relax and call it a day, more disastrous events follow. A deadly plague strikes and the spaceship’s AI becomes their enemy instead of protector.
For the final installment of this epistolary series, Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik will board a refugee containership called the Mao in order to return to Kerenza. Though they’re unsure of what awaits them, they have no choice but to trust their instincts.
