The Weeknd is not the first music artist to get a comic book based on him. The Black Eyed Peas, Kiss, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga have all preceded him. However, we just received new details about the comic which is set to be released this summer.
The comic, entitled The Weekend Presents: Starboy, was first announced last October at New York Comic Con. We now know that it is being written by The Weeknd himself along with La Mar Taylor and Christos Gage. The art is by Eric Nguyen and Guru-eFX.

According to Marvel, Starboy is the story of a city called Alphatron that is suffering from a crime wave courtesy of Jack “The Chef” Smiley, a ruthless murderer who has unified all criminal organizations. Even more gruesome is the fact that he likes to eat the people he kills. The city needs a hero. Apparently it’s not getting one, but what it does get is Starboy…whoever exactly that is. We just know he bears a striking resemblance to The Weeknd.
