All writers receive their fair share of rejection letters. Most are fairly impersonal, cold and distant. Even talented and famous writers like horror legend Stephen King get them. But recently, a heartfelt rejection letter has emerged, sent to King by a ‘sensitive and wise publisher at Doubleday’.

So, it may take a genius like King to illicit such a heartfelt response from an editor, at least we know that even the greats like King get rejected, and it’s not just the rest of us.
