A word of advice, it’s probably not the smartest move to diss one of the most recognizable and popular literary characters on a social media platform that the author who created said character uses quite regularly.
One Twitter user learned this lesson the hard way after comparing President Donald Trump to Professor Severus Snape, a comparison not taken lightly by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling who responded, “Yeah, no.”

While some Harry Potter fans might not see this comparison as a diss, J.K. Rowling sure did and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why.
Rowling has frequently used Twitter to voice her opposition to Trump’s controversial policies and statements. Considering she has previously defended Snape’s character, it’s not surprising that she would view both figures in opposing lights.
Rowling wasn’t the only one who disagreed with the comparison between Trump and Snape, as several fans defended the Hogwarts professor.

In the midst of the awkward exchange, Rowling coined a new term that is so accurate it hurts. After another Twitter user posted, “Don’t you just love it when people tell you what your books mean?” Rowling responded with a hilarious new term.
