With over 1.2 million views on Facebook and over 66,000 on YouTube, the video has reached outside of its intended audience—Liberty Elementary School in Worthington, Ohio. Earlier this week, The Tracking Board reported that Disney is bringing back Meg Cabot’s The Princess Diaries movie series with a third installment. Unfortunately for fans, it looks like this isn’t the case as of now. Commended author Terry Pratchett’s final Discworld novel, The Shepherd’s Crown, debuted its British and U.S. covers. While some held out hope that Pratchett’s daughter, Rhianna, would write more of the series following the author’s death in March, she is adamant about not intruding on her father’s work. Pratchett’s Twitter account posted the U.S. and U.K. versions of The Shepherd’s Crown cover. Tiffany Aching, Nac Mac Feegles, and swarming bees are displayed on the U.K. version, while the U.S. cover is scaled back a bit, with images of bees and a shell. According to Random House, a manuscript of EL James’ latest Fifty Shades of Grey novel told from Christian’s perspective has been stolen. Grey’s manuscript disappeared on Tuesday, and according to a Random House spokesman there is an ongoing police investigation. Some fear that the manuscript will be leaked to the media, and since the series has sold over 125 million copies since 2011 it’s a legitimate worry. In an interesting parallel, chapters from the unfinished manuscript of Stephenie Meyer’s Midnight Sun were leaked back in 2008. As a result, Meyer put the novel on hold indefinitely.
