The best part of any day is finding new books to add to my TBR list. There is so much going on in the world right now, and researching new books and authors is one of the things that is keeping me sane during this quarantine. So, here are some new YA titles to add to your list to make your days a little brighter.
1. Foul is Fair, by Hannah Capin

Foul is Fair follows Elle and her three best friends who rule LA and the social scene. Everyone wants to be them, because they hold all the power. Then, on the night of Elle’s sixteenth birthday, the golden boys from St. Andrew’s Prep crash the party and set their sights on Elle. Unfortunately for them, they picked the wrong girl to mess with.
So, to get her revenge, she enrolls in St. Andrew’s Prep and plans to take down each boy, by taking their power, and their control of the hierarchy of the school. However, there is one boy, Mack, who is a bit harder to take down, due to his deadly ambition. Will Elle get her revenge?
2. All the Stars and Teeth, by Adalyn Grace

All the Stars and Teeth follows the heir to her kingdom of Visidia, Amora Montara. She didn’t get to choose her power like others in her kingdom, she’s been training her whole life to be the high Animancer, which is the master of souls. In order to secure her place on the throne, she has to prove herself; however, her demonstration doesn’t go as planned and she has no choice but to run away.
On the run, she meets a pirate and they strike a deal: if she helps him steal back his magic, he will help her reclaim the throne. Unfortunately, during their sails together, a new magic begins to arise, and now Amora must learn to conquer it while facing monsters, mermaids, and a stowaway she didn’t expect. If she doesn’t face them, she can lose the her throne forever.
3. The Queen’s Assassin, by Melissa De La Cruz

The Queen’s Assassin follows two assassins, Calden Holt and Shadow. Calden is bound to the Queen of Renovia due to an impossible vow, and he is also the deadliest weapon. She is sending him on a quest to retrieve the Deian Scrolls that contain magic and that was stolen by sects called Aphrasians.
Then, there is Shadow: she wants nothing more to be feared as much as Calden. She wants to follow in the footsteps of her mother as well as her aunts, and even though magic has been banned for years, she has been practicing to keep her power under control.
The two end up working together to take down a new threat to the kingdom and as they work together to protect each other and the kingdom, they uncover lies and secrets that can destroy everything.
4. Red Hood, by Elana K. Arnold

Red Hood follows the story of Bisou Martel and how her quiet life in Seattle gets turned upside down. She spent her life being good, but then on the night of homecoming, she finds herself in the woods running for her life.
Bisou is chased by a wolf, and it tries to attack her, but she fights back. Then, on her way back home, Bisou begins to question what happened to her, as well as the images she saw of girls lost in the woods that are frightened but are not alone.
5. The Shadows Between Us, by Tricia Levenseller

The Shadows Between Us follows Alessandra, and her goal in life is take down the king. Her plan is to marry him and then kill him, so she can take the throne for herself. However, the newly crowned prince has amazing power. People speak of how he can command the shadows to do his bidding, but Alessandra doesn’t care. She is going to do everything in her power to get what she deserves.
Unfortunately for her, other people want him dead, so Alessandra ends up trying to keep him alive long enough so he will want to marry her but at the same time begins to fall for him for real.
