“Words, words. They’re all we have to go on!” Literally. Words are important and if they didn’t exist, nothing would make sense. With so many words in the English language, it’s hard to keep track of the new ones added to the dictionary. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite words to share with you!

Adam
Dingus – a gadget, device, or object whose name is unknown or forgotten.
I went to the store with that dingus, I can’t remember his name.
Filter – to act as a filter for; to slow or partially obstruct the passage of
The media tends to filter its news to adhere to a certain audience
Anachronism – something or someone that is not in its correct historical or chronological time, especially a thing or person that belongs to an earlier time.
The sword is an anachronism in modern warfare.
Crimp – to press into small regular folds; make wavy.
She was busy crimping her hair.
Gaby
Bemused – bewildered or confused.
She looked around bemused at the scene unfolding before her.
Lament – to feel or express sorrow or regret for.
We lament the murder of innocent people.
Mahogany
Serendipity – an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
The serendipity of having a great conversation with a stranger.
Jabberwocky – a playful imitation of language consisting of invented, meaningless words; nonsense; gibberish.

Superfluous – being more than is sufficient or required; excessive.
We had a superfluous amount of people in the car.
